RE-UP Pink Floyd - Live Toronto 1987

Here's a show near and dear to my heart. I was at this concert, my first live Floyd experience. 1987 I was deeply immersed in Floyds music. I was 20, been a fan for the past year or so, and collected most of the catalogue of music. When Momentary Lapse was released - I, like thousands of others, bought it without hearing a note, (still on vinyl!!!) after all it was Pink Floyd! Even despite the ongoing war with Roger and lack of his genius, Floyds return was a feeding frenzy for the fans, and I was there.
Points of note on the dates of these shows, (for those who do care). This show, on the 23rd was initially the second show announced, a week or so later the third date was added on the 21st.

*Original Notes
Since the beginning of the tour Gilmour has played the whole new album during the first set
of each show. Initially, the show would open with this album but on April 16th, the day
before this performance the decision was made to take the Breathe-Time-Breathe reprise
segment and move it to the beginning of the show. This allowed him to welcome the audience
after playing these songs and then introduce the new album before any of it was played.
This worked well so it was used again during this show. During the second set, Shine On and
Wearing The Inside Out are played, as they have since the beginning of the tour. This is
followed by Arnold Layne which is performed here for the first time since October 6th, 1967
making this a very special show. The song was then included in additional shows in both
Europe and the US and is featured on the Gilmour commercial DVD as he sings the song with
David Bowie. The remainder of the setlist included songs played consistently throughout the
tour. Both source recordings were excellent but had different dynamics and slightly different
sound characteristics. At times, there is a nice stereo separation so listening with
earphones is recommended.

Comments:

This comes from my original silvers cd's.
This version sounds more defined and crispier than the 2nd gen but is a bit shorter,
about 13 mins shorter. No music is lost but some tune-ups and crowd noise are missing.
This is a hissy recording but the performance and sound are great, this hiss doesn't detract
from the show at all.
Im ready to give this a EX-.
If you notice, on the artwork it says...

*Original Notes

Notes: All tracks written by David Gilmour, Alex Paterson & Youth.
"Hymns to the Sun" written by David Gilmour, Alex Paterson, Youth & Graham Nash.
"Black Graham" written by David Gilmour, Alex Paterson, Youth & Marcia Mello.
"Hiding in Plain View" written by David Gilmour, Alex Paterson, Youth & Tim Bran.

The Orb, the visionary UK 'ambient/house' collective, came to collaborate with David Gilmour after working together on a version of Graham Nash's Chicago for a charity project. Youth (aka Martin Glover), a frequent Orb accomplice, was invited to create a remix, and he and Alex Paterson, as The Orb, were so energized by the task that they continued working until it was an album-length entity. Having asked Gilmour to bring his guitars to Youth's studio in South London to prolong and enrich their new creation, the trio worked up a sonic mixture in a range of styles. Thus, the Metallic Spheres project was born.

Metallic Spheres is designed to be heard in two parts – 'Metallic Side' and 'Spheres Side'. Each track, or side, consists of five movements. The album uniquely utilizes David Gilmour's electric guitar and lap steel guitar, Alex Paterson's sound manipulation, keyboards and turntables, and Youth's bass guitar and keyboards.
