Music inspires and helps the creative process.

Music has always been a vital part of my life. As an artist, it's been both catalyst and marching band. A conception to birth relationship.
One of the biggest inspirations to my young ears was Pink Floyd. The soundscapes and visions Floyd music created was phenominal. I would sit and listen for hours, lost in their music, frightening, fantastic and brilliantly imaginative. Pink Floyd broke down so many boundries. Perfect seeds for a furtile mind.
Of course it wasn't always about Floyd. The Beatles, Cream, Black Sabbath and the essential Jethro Tull. Prog rock, Jazz fusion, Dylan and Blues. Avant Garde and the Germans of the early seventies would follow. So many paths in the world of rock music.
Whether I was inspired while wearing headphones or having the songs rock their way throughout the studio as I worked, be it drawings or paintings, I would frequently express my gratitude to the music that fueled my passion by referencing them in my works. Be it subtle or obvious, the music was always there. In title, illustrative reference or simply written on the back of the canvas. Thanks was always given. Music being the food of love.

The Witchwood Records is an addendum to my blog, The Witchwood Bazaar. As I wish to share my art with the world, in common trend, I wish to share "my" music. As it is not possible to share the albums of protected music, I can share my collection of bootleg material that has added so much to my collection. Not surprisingly, Pink Floyd plays a major role in this collection, followed by Jethro Tull.

These selections are here for sampling and referencing. No money is exchanged. These concerts are for trade and sharing only.

Here is some of the music that has inspired and enriched my life.
Enjoy.
