Pink Floyd Live Ivor Wynne Stadium 1975
Echoes in the Canadian Wood
RoIO silver cd - EAC- Flac
June 28 1975,
Ivor Wynne Stadium, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Quality: EX
Since a Toronto appearance was unexpectedly cancelled, the Floyd were
detoured to Hamilton, Ont. Making It one of the largest concert events for
a dramatically unprepared Hamilton. With Ivor Wynne being considerably
smaller than the arenas they were now playing in, there was an audience
overflow outside the stadium and into the streets.
Accounts of people lining the sidewalks and laying in peoples front yards,
are widespread, the air full of clouds of pot smoke and the sounds of a
blistering show by PINK FLOYD.
Being the last show of the North American Tour, Pink Floyd's crew decided to
go out with a Bang!During the plane crash part of "On the Run", the crew
used up their remaining pyrotechnics around the stadium scoreboard.
The explosion was so intense it blew the scoreboard to pieces and shattered
windows in neighbouring houses.
Although this show is of EX sound quality,it's notable that the band appear
fatigued. You can hear it in their voices, and Rogers growing irritation for
the sometimes noisey crowd is shown at one point, saying "Tell you what,
We'll carry on and you can talk amongst yourselves".
Just another brick in the wall, I guess.
All in all, a show that went down in legend, and very good time was had by
all.
